This is a review of (2003), the first studio album by Spanish singer-songwriter Melendi .

Lo-fi by major label standards. It was recorded quickly and cheaply. Drums sound boxy, vocals are front-and-center and slightly distorted. However, this fits the aesthetic—like a demo that accidentally became an album. Producer didn't over-polish, which preserved Melendi’s raw charisma.
