For me, creativity is a very introspective and iterative process. I often start with a personal experience or emotion that I'm trying to process, and then I begin to research and explore the broader social and cultural context surrounding that issue. I find that my art and writing are deeply connected to my own experiences as a woman of color, and I try to use my work as a way to reflect on and make sense of the world around me.
