Screenly Anthias Jun 2026

This guide is aimed to provide users with a comprehensive resource to help them navigate and access the Benson's digital content which stems from a variety of projects and departments.

(formerly known as Screenly OSE) is the world’s most popular open-source digital signage project. It allows anyone to transform a Raspberry Pi or a standard PC into a powerful digital sign capable of displaying high-definition images, 1080p videos, and live web pages.

One of the most striking features of the Screenly Anthias is its elaborate fins, which are long and flowing, particularly in males. These fins are used for display purposes, such as during courtship or territorial disputes. The species' common name, "Screenly Anthias," refers to the resemblance of its fins to a decorative screen.

Screenly Anthias are found in tropical and subtropical waters, usually inhabiting areas with rocky reefs, crevices, and coral formations. They are commonly seen swimming in small schools, often near areas with abundant algae growth. Their depth range varies from 10-100 feet (3-30 meters), with a preference for areas with moderate to strong currents.

Keeping Screenly Anthias in captivity can be challenging due to several factors:
