    If you enabled "Encrypt iPhone Backup" in iTunes, the backup files remain in these locations, but the data is scrambled and inaccessible without the password.

    You can use the "Run" command to jump straight to the backup folder.

    In the "Backups" section, you'll see a list of your device's backups, including the date and time of each backup. You can also click on the "Back Up Now" button to create a new backup.

    While you can store backups on an external drive using the symlink method, you generally cannot back up directly to an external drive without this workaround. The external drive must be connected and recognized by the system whenever a backup is initiated.
