“You embarrassed the system,” his former colleague, Advocate Sharma, told him over the phone. “Not the British system. Our system. The one where a mujrim is anyone who reminds the powerful that they are not gods.”

Hindi Genre: Action / Crime / Drama Director: Umesh Mehra Producers: Parvesh C. Mehra, Pushpa S. Chaudhary

He took the last two hundred rupees from his pocket and pressed them into Kallu’s palm. “Tomorrow morning, come to the old kachahri shed. I’ll teach you to read. And then, maybe, you’ll teach me what to do with the rest of my life.”

Ten years ago, Shakul had defended a boy named Munna from the adjoining basti . A pickpocket, caught red-handed with a constable’s wallet. Open-and-shut. But Shakul noticed the boy’s fingers—burned, raw, missing two nails. He didn’t just argue the case; he tore into the police station’s records, found three other minors with identical injuries, and filed a habeas corpus petition that reached the High Court.

The narrative takes a dramatic turn when Shankar is forced to assume the identity of the inspector to save the life of Ashok’s family and uphold the law. The film follows Shankar’s struggle to hide his criminal past while living the life of a police officer, and Ashok’s fight for survival and return to reclaim his life.

The story revolves around two identical men who are lookalikes but lead vastly different lives due to circumstances.

Their paths cross when Ashok is transferred to the city where Shankar operates. Due to their identical appearance, confusion ensues. Shankar is eventually arrested by Ashok, but during an encounter with the villain, Ashok is grievously injured.

Mithun Chakraborty delivers a powerful, gritty performance as the "angry young man" archetype, which was highly popular during this era. Amrish Puri provides a formidable presence as the antagonist with a distinctive fashion sense.

Apraadhi (अपराधी), Doshi (दोषी), Gunaahgaar (गुनाहगार), and Kasurvaar (क़ुसूरवार).

  • The print is too small. You need to add a feature to enlarge the page and print so that it is readable.

  • As a long time comixology user I am going to be purchasing only physical copies from now on. I have an older iPad that still works perfectly fine but it isn’t compatible with the new app. It’s really frustrating that I have lost access to about 600 comics. I contacted support and they just said to use kindles online reader to access them which is not user friendly. The old comixology app was much better before Amazon took control

  • As Amazon now owns both Comixology and Goodreads, do you now if the integration of comics bought in Amazon home pages will appear in Goodreads, like the e-books you buy in Amazon can be imported in your Goodreads account.

  • My Comixology link was redirecting to a FAQ page that had a lot of information but not how to read comics on the web. Since that was the point of the bookmark it was pretty annoying. Going to the various Amazon sites didn’t help much. I found out about the Kindle Cloud Reader here, so thanks very much for that. This was a big fail for Amazon. Minimum viable product is useful for first releases but I don’t consider what is going on here as a first release. When you give someone something new and then make it better over the next few releases that’s great. What Amazon did is replace something people liked with something much worse. They could have left Comixology the way it was until the new version was at least close to as good. The pushback is very understandable.

  • I have purchased a lot from ComiXology over the years and while this is frustrating, I am hopeful it will get better (especially in sorting my large library)
Thankfully, it seems that comics no longer available for purchase transferred over with my history—older Dark Horse licenses for Alien, Conan, and Star Wars franchises now owned by Marvel/Disney are still available in my history. Also seem to have all IDW stuff (including Ghostbusters).
I am an iOS user and previously purchased new (and classic) issues through ComiXology.com. Am now being directed to Amazon and can see “collections” available but having trouble finding/purchasing individual issues—even though it balloons my library I prefer to purchase, say, Incredible Hulk #181 in individual digital form than in a collection. Am hoping that I just need more time to learn Amazon system and not that only new issues are available.

  • Thank you for the thorough rundown. Because of your heads-up, I\\\\\\\’m downloading my backups right now. I share your hope that Amazon will eventually improve upon the Comixolgy experience in the not-too-long term.

  • Hi! Regarding Amazon eating ComiXology – does this mean no more special offers on comics now?
That’s been a really good way to get me in to comics I might not have tried – plus I have a wish list of Marvel waiting for the next BOGO day!
