Stranded On Santa Astarta [patched] Page
Santa Astarta is tidally locked to its red dwarf star. One side burns in eternal day; the other freezes in eternal night. The habitable zone is a narrow strip of twilight—a "terminator zone"—that circumnavigates the globe.
“We need a power source,” Liatris whispered. Her voice echoed too far. “The Hauler’s cells are cracked. We can’t leave.”
We discovered the source of the interference: A massive monolith composed of an unknown alloy, half-consumed by the jungle. It was clearly of non-human origin. stranded on santa astarta
Signed,
On Day 7, a patrol from the USS Marathon (responding to a faint backup ping) entered the atmosphere. Santa Astarta is tidally locked to its red dwarf star
After several weeks of struggling to survive, a group of crew members, led by Álvar Núñez Cabeza de Vaca, one of the expedition's leaders, decided to explore the island and search for help. They eventually stumbled upon a group of indigenous people, who provided them with food and shelter. The crew members were later rescued by a passing ship and returned to Spain, where they were hailed as heroes for their survival story.
The apex predator is a creature we have designated as a "Stalker." They are hexapedal, chameleonic beasts that utilize the twilight gloom to hunt. They do not roar; they mimic human speech. They recorded the screams of Vane when he fell into the sinkhole, and subsequently used those screams to lure Dr. Aris away from the camp on the night of Day 4. “We need a power source,” Liatris whispered
Santa Astarta is a Class-1 No-Go Zone. It is my professional recommendation that the Colonial Maritime Authority scrub this system from all navigational charts.
