At approximately 9:00 a.m., Krystal de Boor parked her white Jeep Cherokee at the trailhead of the Nounou Mountain Trail , popularly known as the "Sleeping Giant" trail. This is a moderate-to-difficult 3.5-mile round-trip hike with steep switchbacks and panoramic views of the Wailua River Valley.
