For most users, it is recommended to keep the IRST driver active. Even if you aren't using a RAID setup, the driver provides better power efficiency and helps Windows manage SSD health more effectively. However, if you are a casual user with a single standard drive and everything is working fine, you don't necessarily need to manually update it unless you encounter performance issues or are performing a clean OS install.
