Abbott Elementary S02e09 Xvid ((install)) Review

In the ninth episode of the second season, the faculty of Willard R. Abbott Public School prepares for the winter break. While most teachers are looking forward to a quiet hiatus, Janine Teagues (Quinta Brunson) is determined to let loose.

Mr. C. is everything Janine is not. Calm, improvisational, and completely disinterested in the lesson plan. He tells the kids to push the desks aside and leads them in a “silent ball” game for 45 minutes. He plays jazz music during quiet reading. He is, by all accounts, a phenomenal substitute—the kids are engaged, the room is calm, and Gregory looks physically ill watching someone be competent but unorthodox.

: Due to a district-wide sub shortage, Principal Ava Coleman is forced to step into Janine's classroom. She predictably ignores Janine's meticulous lesson plans, opting instead to play loud music during spelling tests and treat the second-graders like her personal entourage.
