Here's how that feature works:

The CTV servers match the code you typed with the code the TV generated. In a split second, the "reservation" is confirmed. The TV screen refreshes automatically. The activation message disappears, replaced by the CTV home screen. The handshake is complete; the device is now authenticated.

Once the code is entered and the provider selected, the barrier dissolves. The user has successfully bridged the gap between traditional cable subscriptions and modern streaming technology.

Once you successfully log in on your computer or phone, the website asks for the code displayed on your TV. You type it in.
