The most foolproof method? Create a (Ubuntu + ProgeCAD for Linux). You boot into the USB, run native ProgeCAD with full performance, and leave the host Windows machine untouched.

ProgeCAD is excellent software. But trying to force it into a portable straitjacket often causes more frustration than it solves. If mobility is your priority, look at cloud-based CAD or a dedicated CAD laptop—not a USB stick hero mission.
