On underground forums such as BreachForums and Telegram channels, the phrase “2FA FB RIP” emerged as a triumphant declaration by attackers. It signaled that Facebook’s second-factor verification could be bypassed consistently using automated frameworks. This paper investigates the technical reality behind that claim.
