Twrp 3.6.0 !exclusive! -

The popular Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) has just released version 3.6.0, bringing a host of new features, improvements, and bug fixes to the popular custom recovery tool.

To appreciate 3.6.0, we must look back. TWRP 3.5.0 introduced fundamental support for Android 11’s radical dynamic partitions ( system_a , system_b , product , vendor ). It was a painful transition. Users suddenly couldn’t simply flash a ZIP to system anymore. The old ways died.

This was the headline feature. While Android 12 was still in beta, TWRP 3.6.0 added initial support for decrypting data on devices running Android 12’s new encryption policies. Google had changed the way keys are derived (Stretch-scrypt and inline encryption hardware abstraction layer updates). Without this, early Android 12 beta testers would have been locked out of their own /data partition in recovery. TWRP 3.6.0 cracked that door open.

TWRP 3.6.0 has officially landed, bringing major quality-of-life updates for power users. This release focuses on bridging the gap for newer devices and simplifying the flashing process.
