As one of the world’s largest Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platforms, Udemy faces unique challenges in South Korea—a market characterized by high educational fervor ("education fever"), advanced digital infrastructure, and dominant local competitors. This study analyzes Udemy’s "Koreanization" strategy, comparing its instructor-led model with the subscription-based models of domestic giants like Fast Campus and Inflearn. The findings suggest that while Udemy has successfully leveraged global content and corporate training solutions, it continues to face hurdles regarding price sensitivity, cultural learning preferences, and platform localization.
